It certainly didn't help when I found out that the author's love story shared within the book ends in "conscious uncoupling" short years after it was published! On top of that, the author, Janina Fisher, PhD, has managed to take a complex subject and make it clear, digestible, and user-friendly. I still found myself wanting to read it in little chunks at a time to absorb the content (as suggested in the preamble), but the diagrams, worksheets, and relatively short sections of text made it easy to take breaks and pick up where I left off.
